The Zoo of the capitalis goingto mark the beginning of its anniversary year with tasting of the cake weighing 100 kg – said the press service of the Prefecture of the Central Administrative District of Moscow.
The ceremony is scheduled for February 15. The cake decorated with tasty squirrels, rabbits and other little animals could be tasted from 12:00 to 17:00 - the press service said.
It, also, made it clear that the treat would be enough for a thousand people.
The event will be held near the pavilion of monkeys, where the XIX-th century fair will open with traditional Russian delicacies and games - a spokesman said.
It was stressed by the Prefecture that the zoo has prepared many other surprises for February 15 – to include dramatized stories about animals, lectures by renowned biologists, quizzes and contests.
Exactly 150 years ago by imperial decree the first zoo garden in Russian Empire was established.
